Age has no limits, just so you know.
As 2017, ends another year is soon to be added to all our lives and the great news? We are getting more of them. With technology advances we can expect the term ripe old age to be well and truly extended.
What does that mean to retirees? We are going to have a lot more years to enjoy ourselves after years of the hard slog of the daily grind. A lot more time for travel, for spending more time on things we have always enjoyed and learning a lot of new ones.
So what sort of things can you take up after you retire, is there any problems or age barrier? Let’s take a look at few motivating examples.
Verdun Hayes, what a role model D-day veteran became world’s oldest skydiver at 101 and 38 days. Would you like to take up racing car driving? Well Morgan Shepherd is a good example he drove a NASCAR and lead the race and he was a fresh and spritely 72 years of age. Maybe your thinking of Water Skiing, Banana George (USA) successfully barefoot waterskied on Lake Florence, Winter Haven, Florida, USA, at the age of 90 years 29 days on 20 February 2005, making him the world’s Oldest barefoot water-skier.
So, when you reach retirement age there is no “New Relaxing Hobby !!” opportunity you cannot think about taking up, age has no limits.
You might not want to take up of some of those sports, maybe you will settle for some great overseas holidays, and wouldn’t it be great to be able to live in a community where you can come and go without worrying about the normal hassles and patience even security issues of the home you have lived in for years and may no longer suit your purpose. Maybe you need to consider some retirement villages on the Gold Coast like De Paul Manor Estate.
Designed specifically for over 65s, De Paul Manor Estate is an intimate, ‘boutique’ retirement community nestled amongst landscaped grounds and natural bushland just minutes from the fabulous Gold Coast beaches in central Ashmore.
Why not come and see us and witness the kind of lifestyle we can offer!
